Bruce Allen

Pastor Bruce began serving along with his family at MeadowRidge Baptist Church in March 2015.

A son of Christian parents, Bruce was born in Orlando, Florida in 1961. At the age of seven he received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and was baptized in a Southern Baptist church.

Bruce and his wife Laura met in northern Virginia and were married in 1984. The couple spent their honeymoon in Okinawa, Japan while he served our nation in the United States Air Force. Bruce completed his B.S. degree in business while still overseas through the University of Maryland in 1989. Back in the states and civilian life, he worked in insurance and retail management.

With Laura’s support, Bruce answered God’s call to the Gospel Ministry. He graduated with a M.Div. degree in 1996 from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky with his wife and two new sons, John and William, by his side. Paul completed the family, being born during Bruce’s first pastorate.

The Allens also answered God’s call to homeschool ministry. Laura and Bruce taught all three sons at home from 2003 to 2020. The Allen boys graduated successfully and pursued college educations. John, the oldest, got married to Hannah Ruoss in 2019. They met while she was serving here as a ministry intern. The couple now makes their home in Orlando, Florida.

Pastor Bruce has served with Laura at Pond Run Baptist Church near Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Round Hill Baptist Church in Round Hill, Virginia, and University Baptist Church, in Orlando, Florida.
